In most all Pagan based religion/faiths, the Lunar Goddess is the primary Deity of Worship. She is The Lady: the Maternal Entity - Mother of all who are drawn to the 'Occult Arts".  This Goddess possesses many Secrets of the Mysteries, and teaches these to those who come to her, 'properly prepared', and devoted.

Whereas, on previous pages, I shed a bit of light on other Spiritual Beings such as the Mighty Hosts - which have distinctive and strict requirements to be fulfilled before they will allow themselves to be 'known' by mankind; the Lunar Goddess is, on the other hand, somewhat more yielding in Her demands.

What the Goddess desires most of all from her potential 'children', is - quite simply, an 'earnest heart'.  For many this may not be as simple as it sounds.  Mere curiosity, for example, does not qualify as an 'earnest heart'.  -Nor does the attitude of seeking 'proof' of Her existence.

What it is that I imply as having an earnest heart, is at its first stage - 'humility'.  The Goddess must be approached with humbleness. Couple 'humbleness' with 'pure love and trust' in your heart, and you are well on your way to winning The Lady over.

Somewhat ironically, those who lack the accomplishment of an 'earnest heart' are not shunned totally out of the picture.  The Goddess is a 'gracious' One.  And, presenting those in need with the 'earnest heart' which they will require is one of the many gifts She can bestow upon mankind.  It is basically - there for the asking.

Because I believe the Lunar Goddess is perhaps the most easiest accessible of the Pagan Deities, it is here - with Her introduction, that I begin all of my teachings.

In this effort I hand students a copy of the well known "Charge of the Goddess".  Because this "Charge" has been plastered all over Pagan networks, several of you may have the 'been there - done that' attitude.  But in truth, I have come across very few who have actually used The Charge to its fullest potential.

There is much more to The Charge than a lot of beautiful words.  It is a means by which The Goddess can make Herself truly known by you.

In many religious practices the followers depend largely on blind faith in/ of their Deity(ies).  What separates these religious faiths from that of the Pagan faith is that the Deities, such as the Lunar Goddess, actually make themselves known to Their followers - not only spiritually and mentally, but physically as well.

By this I mean, when a student of the Mysteries does make contact with The Goddess, it will knock you off your feet. (-In a good way!)  I could go through some of the wonderful examples here, but why ruin your fun?

Suffice it to say, that 'blind faith' will become a thing of the past.  Never again will you doubt the existence of Supreme Beings.  Never again will you doubt that there is indeed life after death, and - most importantly; that you are very, very much loved.  In fact, it is the indescribable, immeasurable 'wave' of Divine Love which will be the force behind the being 'knocked off of your feet'.

To any of you who have not yet experienced the Divine and Mighty Power of the presence of the Goddess, I leave you with the following suggestion...

First, memorize the Charge of the Goddess (link provided below).  It may seem like a lot to have to memorize, but the words are so beautiful that you shouldn't mind repeating them over and over.  And, here is a little-known secret for you:  By learning and repeating the words of 'The Charge' they will begin to take on a form and reveal glimpses of The Goddess.

After you have The Charge instilled in your mind to where you can repeat it fluently, say the words quietly at night prior to sleeping - whenever you have the chance.  Most importantly, you must recite The Charge whenever you have the opportunity to do so under a full moon. (Gaze upon Her all the while.)  Being outside in the elements is the obvious choice here - when possible.  Final note: Make sure you say The Charge in privacy.
